Drovio app¶
Once Drovio Server is deployed and configured, install the Drovio app on end-user machines and point it to your server.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the Drovio app on your machine.
- When launching the app for the first time, you will get a tour showing Drovio's main features. Skip the tour or click Continue several times, then Finish.
- On macOS, you will need to give Drovio permission to control your computer (needed so Drovio can sync inputs from all attendees with yours, so they can type on your screen). Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Set the server the app connects to: click the cog icon in the upper-right of the main interface.
- Click Preferences, go to the Network tab and change the URL value to your Drovio Server IP or domain.
- Restart the app: you should then be able to sign in.
macOS permissions
If you can't type on a remote screen when using Drovio for macOS, it's because Drovio needs permission to control your computer. Check that you have allowed the app in your system's Privacy preferences. See why we need permissions on macOS and how to grant them.
